Creative practice experiment with pastel
I began this pastel with the intention to reverse the color wheel in the reference photo I was using from a camping trip. The photo was taken during the day. I took artistic license and used colors that were different than the opposite of the color wheel, especially for the dark and light values. While it may sound like the creating of this pastel was analytical, my intuition did play a large part.
5 x 7 inch note cards are available for most of the photos and art on this website.
Look for the posts with the Creative Practice, Friday Photo and photo labels.

The Creative Practice posts are photography or photos of artwork that have been completed
sometime prior to the day I post them. For Creative Practice, I'm sharing artwork and photography
that I do for fun, with no particular need in mind.
