I connect with my guides and listen for which deck to use (I have many!) and I draw 1-3 cards, however I'm guided. Using my own intuition and perhaps a part of what the book says that comes with the deck of cards I use, I write up the guidance you are being given and email it to you. It's supportive. It's helpful. It's fun. It's magical.

Stretching Your Imagination

Today I was hiking in a magnificent area. One of my most favorite places to hike during the summer. The elevation is 10,500 feet and above, so in winter it is pretty brutal unless you are among the trees. It’s a popular place for cross country skiing and snowshoeing during the winter months. And a super popular place in the summer. But I digress!

I was sitting and taking in the most magnificent view. Yes, that photo is what I was appreciating. I was feeling my heart swell with joy and it nearly brought me to tears.

Recently, well the past couple of years, the idea of home and where I want to live, where my Higher Self may want me to live, and places I love, have been in my experience. Being in this magnificent place today I wondered, how could I want to be any place else? How could I leave? (not that I'm going to leave any time soon... that I know of...)

And then Hawaii came to mind. Warm ocean, tropical breezes, Aloha, you know what I mean. Oooo... wouldn’t I love to spend time there? Well yes, I've even told the Universe in the past that I'd love to live there for a few years. But how can I leave THIS? The Colorado mountains? For me, this is HOME...

What came next in my thought process was, wouldn’t it be nice if I could create a portal that would lead me to Hawaii from here, so I could go there whenever I wanted to. Which led to... Oh... wouldn’t it be nice if I could also have a portal to New Zealand, and Patagonia, and Italy and Greece... and what would that mean? What would I need? Would I need to specify locations when I created the portal? Would I need a map of the place I was going?
Could I go to Mars? What would I need to do to prepare for something like that? (Would I want to go to Mars? Not at the moment! :) )

Wouldn’t that solve my dilemma! I could live in Colorado and go to Hawaii anytime I wanted to! Maybe you’ve had this thought too? Maybe this isn’t a “huge” stretch of the imagination? But it’s an example. (and I had fun with it!)

I wasn’t limiting myself to what reality was showing me. I let myself daydream and think about something outside the normal realm of existence. What most people think of as the normal realm of existence anyway. :)

Here’s an example: If you have a regular job, you probably think you know where your income is coming from. What if you expanded your view of that? What if money could flow into your life in other ways?
If you are unemployed right now and think you don’t have an income, what if you expanded your view of that? What alternatives are there? What if money could flow into your life in many ways, not just through a "job"? Or maybe your ideas of what a "job" looks like for you could be expanded and modified.

Another example: You are in a situation where you feel you are unable to follow your heart, unable to make changes in your life. What if you are wrong? What if there are many changes that can be made? And what if you could do them now? What if your mind, beliefs, ways of being and ideas are the only things that are keeping you from following your heart?

and one more: You don't think you are creative enough, or smart enough, or charismatic enough, or funny enough. Well, what if you ARE? What if you just have to see yourself in a different way?

As you go through your day, pay attention to how you “think” you know how things are, how things behave, how things will turn out. Can you stretch your imagination and think of other ways? Can you open yourself to new and expanded views of your everyday world? Can you be playful with this?
