Why did the elk cross the road?

I'm assuming it was for something to munch on, but you'll have to ask her yourself!

Oneness - a Shamanic Journey

Shamanic journeys are wonderful for their visualizations and their ability to allow one to have experiences that stretch the imagination, open the heart, offer healing and give one a sense of what’s really important.

Today, the post is about a journey that occurred for me in January 2010. I was participating in the Oneness Experiment at the time, with Anakha Coman and James Twyman. This journey was submitted as a “oneness experience” and I was honored to have received a free t-shirt from http://www.bethelightbetheone.com/ for my entry. Heartfelt appreciation to all for the experiment, experience and soft, comfy t-shirt. (I have added a few more details to the journey from the original entry.)

The journey is offered to you as your own imagination break and an opportunity to sense Oneness (I hope) perhaps in a way you haven’t before imagined.
-----------------------------------------------------
Imagine being all of nature, all at once.

An eagle soaring: landing on my nest, feeding my young and taking off again. Feeling the immense and strong wings.

I was the forest, the ground, the trees, the deer running through the forest all at the same time, seeing the perspective of each as well. I could see the trees rushing past me as I was the deer running and felt the ground beneath me. As the ground I could sense the deer and trees. I felt solid and felt my roots deep in the ground as the tree and sensed the deer rush past me.

Then I experienced long arms and moving around as a monkey, and for some time the word “monkey” did not come to me, but the movement and feeling was familiar.

I was the solid and bright moon and also the delicate light of the stars.

I was a lithe cougar, and then the rugged mountains dropping off into the plains.

I was a waterfall with a beautiful rainbow in the mist. I was a snake wrapped around a tree.

The journey ended being the ocean. My body and energy felt fluid, I could feel and hear my waves crashing onto the shore, one by one.

It was the most beautiful, awe-inspiring and wondrous feeling to sense the Oneness; to sense my energy and even my physical body so large and all-encompassing, to experience the movement of the animals and see from their eyes, to feel the movement of the waves as the ocean.
